What you will find
Every company has a page with the Kaplio overview: four verdicts (valuation, business, balance sheet and earnings), the price range that matches its usual multiples, what matters in its sector and how it compares with its peers. Below it, Kaplio's reading: a short text that explains those numbers the way an analyst would, without jargon and without recommending anything.
On top of that: weekly rankings by the methods of Benjamin Graham, Warren Buffett, Peter Lynch and Joel Greenblatt; a weekly Radar with the companies whose verdict changed; a free Academy of 66 lessons on fundamental analysis; and, with a free account, watchlists, a portfolio and alerts. Full coverage spans the 500 companies of the S&P 500, with basic data for thousands of other US-listed companies. Historical data goes back ten years in the free version and twenty in Premium.
How every analysis is built
Financial data comes from a professional provider that collects the statements companies file with the SEC. Kaplio does not alter them: it organises them, compares them and gives them context.
Kaplio's engine computes, for each company, trailing-twelve-month ratios, their ten-year evolution and the medians of its sector, calculated across all US-listed companies in the same line of business. The verdicts are built from those facts and follow fixed, public rules: the same threshold for every company in a sector, with no manual exceptions.
The texts of the reading are written from those facts and nothing else. Before publication, every figure in the text is checked automatically against the source data; if one does not match, the text is not published. Tone and claims are reviewed too, so that nothing about the business slips in that is not in the numbers. Every analysis carries the date of the data it uses and is rewritten when the company reports new results or when its figures change materially.
The method rankings apply the rules each investor left in writing in their books and letters: Graham's defensive-investor criteria, Buffett's quality and price filters, Lynch's categories, Greenblatt's formula. They are explained on the methodology page, with their sources, and recalculated every week over the same universe.
What Kaplio does not do
It does not recommend buying or selling. A verdict of "expensive" or "cheap" describes the price against the company's own history and sector; it is not advice about your money, which depends on your situation and your horizon.
It does not take money from brokers, asset managers or listed companies, and it does not promote individual stocks. No company appears in a ranking or in the Radar because of a commercial deal: it appears because it meets the rules. Kaplio's only revenue is Premium subscriptions.
It does not sell or share its users' data. What you keep in your portfolio or your lists is yours.
It does not predict prices. When Kaplio published buy and sell signals, it audited them with a strict method and withdrew them on 25 September 2026 because they did not reliably beat the index. Past results are labelled as what they are: the past.
Errors and corrections
Third-party data can contain errors, and so can an automated process. If you find a figure that does not add up or a text that says something the data does not support, write to kaplio@kaplio.com with the company and the page. We review reports within two working days and, if a correction is needed, it is published with its date on the company page itself.
Who is behind Kaplio
Kaplio is an independent project based in Spain, with no ties to any bank, broker or asset manager. The team combines data engineering, financial analysis and writing, and works by a single rule: if a figure cannot be verified, it is not published.
